While traditional diesel and petrol models still dominate the Top 50 Ranking, new EVs are steadily rising as the industry shifts toward electrification. However, brands like BYD and Tesla faced challenges, with sales slowing due to charging infrastructure gaps and global supply chain issues.
Looking at cumulative data up to April 2025, the Toyota RAV4 -up 2 spots- was the new market leader (+0.5%).
The Toyota Corolla -down 1 spot- followed in 2nd (-13.6%).
The Ford F-Series -up 1 spot- ranked 3rd (+17.4%), followed by the Tesla Model Y -down 2 spots- in 4th (-29.1%).
The Honda CR-V ranked 5th (+0.8%), while the Chevrolet Silverado followed in 6th (-5.1%) and the Hyundai Tucson in 7th (-0.5%).
The Toyota Camry ranked 8th (+4.1%) ahead of the Toyota Hilux in 9th (+0.2%) and the Kia Sportage which closed the Top 10 (+0.3%).
Two standout models were the Tesla Model 3 in 11th (+18.9%) and the Geely Xingyuan in 18th.
